A nine mile hike landed us at Bearfence Mountain Hut, a serene site located at 3198 ft elevation. Treated to Barred Owl calls in the middle of the night, we rolled out of the hammocks the next morning at 20 F. A good reminder to keep your wits about you and keep moving once you rise.
